Leslie Frank Wright was born in Park Lane, Woodstock, Oxfordshire on 1 Apr 1896, the son of John Brian Forest Wright and Alice Jane Wright (nee Butler) and worked as a Motor Mechanic before disembarking in France on 29 Mar 1915 with the 4th Battalion, Oxf. & Bucks L.I. before transferring to the 48th Battalion Machine Gun Corps, awarded his Military Medal for service in Italy. A Leslie Frank Wright is listed as serving with the R.A.F.'s Meteorological Branch during WWII. Wright died on 19 Mar 1961.
