Description

Carleton Clifford Hughes Doran was the son of General Sir John Doran, K.C.B. and Lady Doran of Wexford.

Doran was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on 9 Apr 1910 and appointed Aides-de-Camp of Personal Staff of the Regular Forces with the Royal Anglesey Royal Engineers, Special Reserve and seconded, entering France on 4 Nov 1914, appointed Acting Major on 22 Feb 1919, relinquishing his commission on 20 Dec 1927.
