Description

Arthur John Brading was born on 28 Feb 1891 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, the son of Jane Brading of 36 Silverlock Street, Stamshaw, Southsea and joined the Army Reserve on 10 Dec 1915, joining the Howe Division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve on 22 Mar 1917 and allocated a number of R/34, suffering a knee injury, invalided to the U.K. and returning to France on 2 Dev 1917.

Brading was Killed In Action on 30 Dec 1917, along with 22 other members of the Howe Division.

He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial.
