Martin Peter Dodd was born in Doncaster, Yorkshire on 23 Mar 1977 and joined 45 Commando G.P. as Marine 2nd Class on 2 Jun 1998 and was promoted to Lance Corporal with an operational 45 Commando in Afghanistan from 21 Jan 2002.
