George Millard was born in 1825 in Frocester, Stroud, Gloucestershire and worked as a Labourer before attesting with the Scots Fusilier Guards on 18 Nov 1844, promoted to the rank of Corporal on 9 Mar 1847 and posted to the Crimea, arriving on 28 Feb 1854.
He was present at the Battles of Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann and the Siege of Sebastopol before dying of fever on 12 Mar 1855.
