Description

Raymond Peter Harrison was born on 1 Apr 1947 and commissioned 2nd Lieutenant with the Royal Artillery on 26 Apr 1969.

Harrison served on regimental duties with B.A.O.R. from 26 Apr 1960 to Jan 1973 and qualified as a parachutist.

Promoted Lieutenant on 25 Apr 1972, Harrison served with 7th Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery from Jan 1973 to 4 Jan 1976 and promoted to Captain on 25 Apr 1975, serving with 26th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery from 5 Jan 1976 to 2 July 1978, and from 3 July 1978 to 3 July 1980 was appointed General Staff Officer 2, MO4 GB DMO, promoted to Major on Dec 1979.

Finally, Harrison served with 7th Regiment, Royal Artillery from 4 July 1980 to 4 July 1982 and from 5 July 1982 to 30 Sep 1984 as Staff Officer 2, AT1B DGAT, and GSO 2, Army Board, Military Agency for Standardisation from 1 Oct 1984 to 31 Dec 1988.

Harrison retired on 31 Dec 1988.
